UP partners with Koo App to promote ODOP products

Lucknow, July 28 (KNN) In an effort to promote One District One Product (ODOP), the government of Uttar Pradesh has partnered with Koo App which will help cater to a wider audience.

The MoU was signed between the MSME and Export Promotion Department and the Indian micro-blogging platform on Wednesday.


ODOP products in 10 different languages ​​will be promoted on the platform and will mainly benefit non-English speaking residents, local artisans, weavers and entrepreneurs.

In accordance with the pact, Koo will raise product awareness and also provide ODOP giveaways for corporate gifting purposes.

While signing the agreement, Navneet Sehgal, Additional Chief Secretary of the MSME and Export Promotion Department, said, “The association with Koo aims to promote our ODOP products to a wider audience and to spark conversations around ODOP in multiple regional languages.”

Acknowledging UP’s emerging leadership in promoting local products globally through the ODOP initiative, Aprameya Radhakrishna, CEO of Koo App, said, “It is a pleasure for us to help help artisans locals by bringing their craft and promoting it to the rest of India in different languages. ”

With its multilingual functionality, the platform will also enable greater reach and communication of UP – ODOP social protection programs and schemes.
