Marin wakes you up in the new My Dress-up Darling Alarm app

Mobcast Games has announced that they are collaborating with the My darling dressing franchise, and they released a new alarm app with the voice of Marin Kitagawa (CV: Hina Suguta). The application is called “Marin Alarm” and is available in Japan on google play and App store. You can check out a trailer below:

With over 70 recorded lines of dialogue, the user can configure up to three in combination to create a phrase for Marin Kitagawa to speak upon waking up. It is also possible to buy 30 additional lines. The My darling dressing The Marin Alarm app is listed for 730 yen (~$5.4), and some of the highlighted features are:

  • Alarm function that allows up to three favorite voices
  • It can also be used as a reminder by specifying the time and date
  • Up to 10 alarms can be saved
  • Alarm playback screen that shows various scenes from Marin Kitagawa
  • The wallpaper on the main screen can be chosen from six different types
  • An album feature to display a list of the app’s wallpapers and voices

The original manga has been ongoing in Young Gangan magazine since January 19, 2018. Manga Square Enix has also been releasing the series in English as “My Dress-Up Darling” since April 14, 2020. It received a 13-episode anime adaptation by CloverWorks, which was voted Best New Anime of Winter 2022. Crunchyroll airs it, and they describe the story:

Wakana Gojo is a high school student who wants to become a kashirashi, a master craftsman who makes traditional Japanese Hina dolls. Although he is passionate about the job, he knows nothing about the latest trends and finds it difficult to fit in with his class. The popular kids, especially a girl, Marin Kitagawa, seem to live in a completely different world. |

Everything changes one day, when she shares an unexpected secret with him, and their completely different worlds collide.
