Leeds barber takes his business mobile with first TRIM-IT app-powered hair salon

TRIM-IT allows its customers to book a barber at their home, at the office – or even at the gym.

Darren Tenkorang and his founding team set up the company while studying at the University of Sussex, initially launched in London.

And now the business has landed in Leeds in partnership with local barber Ross Fadez.

Ross said: “I’ve always cared about my own hair and wanted to give people the barbering experience that I myself have been looking for.

“Barbering is about more than just cutting your hair – it’s a state of mind, helping people build self-confidence and a key part of someone’s way of life.

“Being able to offer this to someone means a lot to me and continues to give me the passion I have for the craft today.”

TRIM-IT has also partnered with Harry’s, a men’s personal care brand, which stocks its products in mobile barbershops.

As part of the partnership, Harry’s has connected TRIM-IT with its social mission partner Shout, which offers barbers the opportunity to participate in mental health training.

SHOUT is a free, confidential, 24/7 text messaging support service for anyone with mental health issues.

Recognizing that the barber chair is a safe space for men to open up, SHOUT’s training provides barbers with the knowledge and resources to support and refer clients to mental health services.

You can book a haircut with Ross using the TRIM-IT app.
